The Virtual Angina Clinic is OPEN

March 27, 2020 at 9:01 am

We’ve launched a new Virtual Angina Clinic Site (VACS) for Angina patients awaiting review consultation. VACS provides a wealth of information about angina, helping you to understand much more about the condition and its management and treatment.

If you have access to a computer, tablet or smartphone and an existing e-mail address, then following referral,  we’ll be able to provide you with your own login to VACS.

When a patient is first diagnosed with angina they can often wait a long time from their referral to their first consultation. VACS means that the patient, and their family and carers can get access immediately after referral to all of the information they need. There are four online workshops that help people to really understand the condition, its management and treatment options. There is also a Virtual Clinic Consultation Suite where a Consultant Cardiologist answers the most frequently asked questions in short pre-recorded clips.

Working through all of the resources available on VACS means that patients can make the most of the Review Consultation with their Consultant Cardiologist and the Bradford Angina Service Team.

If you have already been referred then we’ll be in touch to provide you with your login details you can access VACS here https://refractoryangina.uk/patient-area-intro/.  If you haven’t been referred yet and you would like to find out more about getting a referral then click on this link  https://refractoryangina.uk/get-referred/.

During the Covid 19 outbreak VACS will enable us to deliver our full support service without patients and their families or carers having to come to the hospital
